Summation Research offers a variety of standard and custom modems and communications processing products. SRI's engineering staff brings a wide range of experience to bear on solving unique communications needs, including applications such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), railroad telemetry and communications, and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL), and government and military Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Remotely Piloted Vehicles (RPV).

SRI's communications product capabilities address embedded and stand-alone product needs, typically in satellite and private land mobile data telemetry markets. The designs conform to a wide variety of standards and requirements, including IRIG, SGLS, STDN, AFSCN, FCC, ETSI, general MIL-STDs and others. The products incorporate a multitude of modulation waveforms (PSK, FSK, AM, PM, FM, PM/PSK, FM/FSK ...) with a wide range of data rates. Baseband modems and processors can be combined with standard or custom RF designs covering 130 to 500 MHz for land mobile and 1.7 to 2.4 GHz for satellite telemetry. The designs are modular and can be adapted for user specific frequency bands of interest.
